I'm Izzy Mad, but you all know me as the daft one in shorts and a stupid hat. Or even Chris. That's a bit about me hope we all enjoy and benefit from this pile of fresh sawdust. Better known as tips, trick, answers, and information, from all at DDWC.

I'm the "Beeman" - retired pharmacist now beekeeper, woodturner, gardener, world traveller, (fishing if I had time!!) . . . . . . . etc. etc. I joined the club when I retired in 2005.

Hi. I'm Rob and have only been a member for a few months. I started woodturning at the end of 2012 having been inspired by watching Peter Wood (who demonstrated at the club in May) at the Chatsworth Show. Having watched him two years on the trot and becoming intrigued by what he did on the pole lathe, I tried some turning on a friend's powered lathe and enjoyed it. I make a lot of pens (wood and acrylic) but am trying to perfect bowl turning at the moment and am continually trying to understand more about the craft and develop my skills.
